An AI-search content refresh example.

This example shows how an existing page can be made easier to understand, trust, and cite without chasing prompt tricks.

Direct answer moved higher on the page.

Claims reviewed against stronger sources.

Entity, methodology, and related-page links added.

01

Before the refresh

The page had useful expertise but buried the answer, mixed several intents, and made claims without enough visible support for a cautious reader or answer engine.

It also had weak internal links, so the page did not clearly connect to methodology, editorial standards, or related service pages.

Before and after

What changes on the page itself

Before-and-after AI-search content refresh example A before excerpt buries the answer and lacks source context. The after excerpt leads with a direct answer, a source note, descriptive headings, and related links. No performance result is claimed. EDITORIAL CHANGES ONLY · NO RANKING OR CITATION RESULT CLAIMED BEFORE The answer is buried OUR APPROACH No visible source or related-page context AFTER Answer first, evidence close DIRECT ANSWER State the definition and boundary before the longer explanation. WHAT THE EVIDENCE SUPPORTS SOURCE NOTE Claim linked to evidence RELATED PAGES Context linked clearly
The example shows editorial changes only. It does not claim a ranking, traffic, or AI-citation result.
02

What changed

The refreshed version opened with the answer, separated definitions from recommendations, added source notes, and linked to methodology, standards, and related service pages.

The structure made the page easier to skim, easier to cite, and easier to place inside the site.

03

How claims were handled

Broad claims were narrowed, unsupported statements were removed, and source-backed explanations were added where the page needed more trust.

This matters for AI-search visibility because answer systems need clear, defensible material to summarize.

04

How internal links changed

The refreshed page linked to related service pages, quality pages, and guides that explained the surrounding topic.

Existing related pages were also identified as candidates to link back, so the refreshed page was not isolated.

05

What to measure

Track whether the page gets cited or summarized accurately, whether branded and category prompts describe the service correctly, and whether internal clicks move toward the right service page.

Also track whether the page earns stronger search impressions and whether users continue into related resources.

06

When to refresh instead of rewrite

Refresh when the page has a useful topic and some authority but the answer, structure, claims, or links are weak.

Rewrite or merge when the page targets the wrong intent, duplicates another page, or exists only for a thin keyword variation.

How this page is sourced

This page describes how Gadex works, written by Gadex. It is not a study and carries no dataset: statements about our own process are what we do, and statements about search or AI-answer behaviour follow the platforms’ current public documentation. Where something could not be supported, it is written as our view rather than as fact.

Search and answer engines change without notice, so check anything you are about to act on against the source. Our methodology sets out how pages are researched and reviewed, and our editorial standards set out what we will and will not claim — including how to tell us if something here is wrong.
